- Odd. I always had a sneaking suspicion, since Hayes owns PPI, that the
- Hayes and PPI PCMCIA modems were the same. Last week I noticed that PPI
- had released a v4.3 flash updater. I haven't noticed a big difference
- in reliability, but then this modem has done pretty well for me anyway.

- Interesting, though, that Hayes and PPI release new firmware at about the
- same time, with identical version numbers.
